Stored XSS via inline active-content artifacts
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Stored XSS in ByteDance DeerFlow before commit 5dbb362 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted artifacts. The Gateway artifact endpoint serves attacker-supplied HTML, XHTML, or SVG as browser-renderable content instead of forcing a download. A user must view the stored artifact; its active content then runs in the DeerFlow origin and can access that user's browser session or credentials.
