Cross-namespace lateral movement via inverted namespace selector
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Improper access control in CTFer.io Fullchain before 0.1.1 allows attackers to reach Pods across Kubernetes namespaces. The services/parts namespace provisioner creates an inter-ns egress NetworkPolicy whose NotIn selector matches every namespace except the source, allowing the traffic it is meant to deny. Exploitation requires control of an application Pod; the resulting reachability enables lateral movement to other Pods without itself proving code execution or data access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
