Privilege escalation in File Browser before 2.62.0 allows remote attackers to create administrator accounts through public signup. The signupHandler applies settings.UserDefaults, including Perm.Admin, without clearing the administrator flag on the new account. Exploitation requires signup=true and defaults.perm.admin=true; a registered account can then control files, users, and server settings.
