Authenticated HTML email injection via discarded sanitized input
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
HTML email injection in Admidio before 5.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to send crafted greeting cards to members. The eCard send handler passes raw ecard_message POST data to ECard::parseEcardTemplate instead of the HTMLPurifier-cleaned form value. Access to the photo module and enabled eCard feature are required; recipients can receive phishing links, forms, or tracking pixels, while script execution depends on the email client.
