Host file disclosure via unrestricted directory import
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
Path traversal in SiYuan before 3.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to expose readable host files through a crafted import request. POST /api/import/importStdMd sends the supplied localPath to model.ImportFromLocalPath without workspace-boundary or sensitive-path checks, recursively storing readable files as persistent notes. Administrator access is required to invoke the import; the resulting content survives restarts and is searchable by workspace users, including Publish Service Reader accounts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
