CVE-2026-32742Network attack vector

Persistent sessions via unfiltered server-controlled fields

Published Mar 18, 2026 · Updated Mar 18, 2026

Session-field injection in Parse Server before 8.6.42 and 9.0.0 through 9.6.0-alpha.16 allows remote authenticated users to extend sessions. RestWrite.prototype.handleSession copied client-supplied sessionToken, expiresAt, and createdWith values into additionalSessionData instead of excluding them as server-controlled keys. Any authenticated account could set a far-future expiration or predictable token for its new session, preserving access beyond the server's intended lifetime.
