Stored XSS via unescaped command-line metadata
Published Mar 18, 2026 · Updated Mar 18, 2026
Stored XSS in Bloomberg L.P. Memray before 1.19.2 allows attackers to execute JavaScript when a victim opens a generated HTML report. The base.html Jinja template inserts metadata.command_line into flamegraph and table reports without the HTML-escape filter. Exploitation requires control of a profiled script name or argument and victim interaction; the script runs in the report's browser context.
