Workspace data disclosure via ungated template SQL
Published Mar 13, 2026 · Updated Mar 13, 2026
Improper authorization in SiYuan before 3.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to read its workspace database through a template API. The POST /api/template/renderSprig route omits model.CheckAdminRole, and its querySQL template function passes attacker-supplied SELECT statements to the workspace database. Any authenticated API token holder or Publish Service Reader can retrieve note content, metadata, and custom attributes without administrative access.
