CVE-2026-32693Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Secret disclosure and tampering via failed authorization

Published Mar 18, 2026 · Updated Mar 18, 2026

Incorrect authorization in Canonical Juju 3.0.0 through 3.6.18 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter Kubernetes secrets. The secret-set hook tool and controller request apply a grantee's update to the Kubernetes secret backend even after reporting permission denied, without creating a new secret revision. Exploitation requires a granted secret and knowledge of a secret identifier; the resulting value is visible to the owner and grantee and can affect other applications sharing the backend.
