SQL injection via unescaped notification channel names
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
SQL injection in elixir-ecto Postgrex 0.16.0 through 0.22.1 allows attackers to execute arbitrary SQL through notification channel names. Postgrex.Notifications.listen/3, unlisten/3, and reconnect handling interpolate channels into simple LISTEN or UNLISTEN queries without escaping quotes. Exploitation requires an application or dependency to supply an untrusted channel; injected statements run with the configured database role.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
