CVE-2026-32624Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service disruption via logon buffer overflow

Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in xrdp before 0.10.6 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through crafted RDP logon names. xrdp_sec_process_logon_info supplies an incorrect remaining-length bound to g_strncat while appending the configured separator and client domain to the username buffer. Exploitation requires domain_user_separator to be enabled in xrdp.ini; it is commented out by default, and reported effects are limited to adjacent-memory corruption, service interruption, or unexpected behavior.
