CVE-2026-32620Network attack vector

Authenticated metadata disclosure via missing post authorization

Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026

Information disclosure in affected Discourse releases allows remote authenticated users to read staff-only post reader metadata. PostReadersController#index returned reader identities and timestamps after checking reader permissions but without verifying that the requester could view the post. A non-staff member of a group with read-state publishing enabled could query an inaccessible whisper post; post content, integrity, and availability remained unaffected.
