CVE-2026-32615Network attack vector

Unauthorized restricted-topic actions by group moderators

Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026

Improper authorization in Discourse allows remote authenticated users to perform privileged actions on topics in unreadable private categories. The vendor advisory does not identify the affected request handlers, specific actions, or failed authorization check, while its linked patch addresses cached AI-summary access behavior. Exploitation requires category group moderator privileges; the bounded consequence is unauthorized execution of topic operations inside private categories.
