Authenticated command execution via unrestricted SpEL context
Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
Code injection in Spinnaker Echo allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through expected-artifact expressions. The Echo pipeline-trigger module evaluates these declarations with an unrestricted StandardEvaluationContext, exposing arbitrary JVM classes. Application write access is required; firing a malicious pipeline through a webhook can read files and execute commands in the Echo service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
