System information disclosure via unauthenticated REST API
Published Mar 18, 2026 · Updated Mar 18, 2026
Information disclosure in Nicolargo Glances before 4.5.2 allows remote attackers to read system data through the unauthenticated REST API. When no password is supplied, glances_restful_api.py creates its APIRouter without the authentication dependency and binds the server to all interfaces. Any network client that can reach web-server mode can query processlist and other endpoints, exposing command-line credentials and host details without altering data.
