Internal network access via unchecked upstream hostname
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SSRF in Red Hat Quay Proxy Cache allows remote authenticated users to reach internal resources through a crafted upstream registry hostname. The proxy-cache configuration accepts the administrator-supplied hostname and makes a server-side connection without validating that the destination is an external registry. Organization administrator privileges and proxy caching are required; the same Quay component is included in Mirror Registry for Red Hat OpenShift.
