Payment disruption via unchecked failure request
Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026
Missing authorization in Kadence Memberships 3.2.22 and earlier allows remote attackers to mark another user's pending Stripe payment failed. The rcp_stripe_handle_initial_payment_failure function accepts a caller-supplied payment ID without checking a nonce, payment ownership, membership ownership, or payment status. Exploitation requires Stripe payment processing and a valid payment ID; it can interrupt membership activation or renewal for the affected account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
