Subscriber-level file upload via missing type validation
Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in WPJAM Basic 6.9.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place dangerous files on WordPress servers. The plugin's upload handling accepts subscriber-supplied files without validating their types before storing them on the server. Subscriber-level access is required, and uploading a server-executable file grants code execution and control of the affected site.
