Unauthenticated privilege escalation
Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026
Incorrect privilege assignment in Bit Apps Bit SMTP 1.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to escalate privileges over the network. The affected WordPress action and the authorization or capability check that it omits have not been publicly disclosed; the upstream changelog identifies only a broken access-control fix. No authentication or user interaction is required, but exploitation has high complexity and can grant privileges normally reserved for higher-privileged WordPress users.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
