Subscriber-level stored XSS via manual review insertion
Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Review Slider 13.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through manual review fields. The manual-review AJAX handler accepts reviewer names and review text, stores them without adequate sanitization, and later renders them without proper output escaping. Subscriber access and a valid nonce reach the handler; execution occurs when an administrator opens the review list or a visitor loads a page containing the affected slider.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
