Decryption and ciphertext forgery via truncated tags

Improper integrity validation in Rob Richards xmlseclibs before 3.1.5 allows remote attackers to decrypt or forge AES-GCM XML nodes. In XMLSecurityKey::decryptSymmetric, substr() accepts a truncated input as an authentication tag as short as one byte and passes it to openssl_decrypt without checking the required 16-byte length. A network-reachable application that decrypts attacker-controlled AES-GCM XML and exposes parsing differences provides an oracle for recovering the GHASH key, reading embedded secrets, and forging ciphertext.
