Hub token interception via unvalidated endpoint schemes
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Cleartext transmission in Cryptomator before 1.19.1 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept Hub unlock traffic. HubKeyLoadingStrategy accepts hub+http, while AuthFlowTask and HubConfig create and use authentication, token, and API URIs from vault metadata without requiring HTTPS or a consistent trusted origin. Exploitation requires a Hub-backed vault with attacker-controlled endpoint metadata and a network position on the resulting connection; exposed bearer tokens permit Hub API impersonation, while altered responses can affect device registration and key delivery.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
