Credential compromise via unlimited web login attempts
Published Mar 17, 2026 · Updated Mar 17, 2026
Improper login throttling in GL.iNet Comet (GL-RM1) before 1.7.2 allows remote attackers to guess credentials via web requests. The web server login endpoint accepts thousands of password guesses per second without delays, failed-attempt tracking, or account lockout. Network access to the web interface is sufficient, and a recovered password also grants SSH access because both services use the same password by default.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
