Bucket-name disclosure via missing administrator check
Published Mar 18, 2026 · Updated Mar 18, 2026
Information disclosure in Amazon S3 for Craft CMS 2.0.2 through 2.2.4 allows remote attackers to read accessible bucket names. BucketsController::actionLoadBucketData returns the plugin's allowed S3 bucket list after checking only for a POST request and JSON acceptance, without requiring an administrator. A valid CSRF token and network access to the Craft CMS endpoint are required; the reported impact is limited to disclosure of bucket names.
