Subscriber-level email flooding via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Missing authorization in ThimPress LearnPress 4.3.2.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to trigger arbitrary emails. The AbstractAjax::catch_lp_ajax() dispatcher accepts a frontend wp_rest nonce and invokes all ten SendEmailAjax handlers without checking current_user_can(). Any Subscriber-level account can reach the handlers, flooding administrators, instructors, or users and impersonating administrative decisions.
