Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Stored XSS in DataEase 2.10.19 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser through an uploaded SVG. StaticResourceServer.isValidSVG accepts any parseable XML document whose root node is svg, without removing event handlers or script-capable attributes. Exploitation requires a user to visit the exposed static-resource URL; the script executes in that user's DataEase origin and can access or alter browser-visible data.
