Stored XSS via unescaped Dygraph titles
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
Stored XSS in OpenEMR before 8.0.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in graph viewers' browsers. The graph_track_anything.php endpoint returns stored track and item names in JSON, and report.js passes them to Dygraph, whose title renderer assigns them to innerHTML without encoding. Creating or editing Track Anything data requires an authenticated user with that feature's permissions; script runs when a user with graph access opens the affected graph, enabling session theft or actions in that viewer's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
