Traffic modification via unchecked RDP packet MAC
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
Integrity-check bypass in neutrinolabs xrdp 0.10.5 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to modify encrypted RDP traffic. The Classic RDP Security receive path silently ignores each packet's 8-byte MAC signature instead of validating it. The attack requires an unauthenticated network position between client and server and does not affect connections that enforce TLS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
