Local privilege escalation via use-after-free
Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
Use-after-free in Windows Speech Brokered API on affected Windows releases allows local users to elevate privileges through local execution. The API accesses an object after its storage has been freed, but Microsoft has not disclosed the object, function, or trigger sequence. A low-privileged account and local execution are required; successful exploitation grants elevated privileges without user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
