Service degradation via pre-validation WebSocket upgrades
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
Resource exhaustion in OpenClaw 2026.2.21-2 and Voice Call plugin 2026.2.21 allows remote attackers to degrade media streaming. The media-stream WebSocket path upgrades each connection before shouldAcceptStream() validates the later start frame, leaving idle sockets unbounded. Streaming must be enabled and the endpoint reachable; sustained idle connections consume connection resources and degrade legitimate streams.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
