Service degradation via cascading context cancellations
Published Feb 25, 2026 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Improper resource release in KrakenD CE and EE Circuit Breaker modules allows remote authenticated users to disrupt requests under load. The component mismanages context cancellation, allowing one cancellation to cascade through the system and trigger unexpected request failures. Exposure requires a configured Circuit Breaker and affected CE before 2.13.1 or EE before 2.12.5; the bounded impact is degraded service availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
