CVE-2026-32054

Arbitrary file overwrite via symlinked output paths

Published Mar 21, 2026 · Updated Mar 21, 2026

Symlink traversal in OpenClaw before 2026.2.25 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files through browser trace or download paths. The handlers checked only lexical containment, so a symlinked temp root, parent directory, or target redirected writes beyond the managed root. Exploitation requires a local foothold and control of an output path; resulting overwrites can alter or destroy files writable by the OpenClaw process.
