Unauthenticated channel route access via encoded traversal
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
Path traversal in OpenClaw before 2026.2.26 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication for protected gateway plugin routes. Gateway authorization checks match the raw /api/channels path, while plugin handlers decode and canonicalize encoded dot segments before routing it. A network-reachable Gateway is required, and crafted alternate paths can invoke protected channel handlers without valid authentication.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
