CVE-2026-32025Network attack vector

Operator session takeover via unthrottled WebSocket authentication

Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026

Improper authentication in OpenClaw before 2026.2.25 allows remote attackers to establish operator sessions through browser-origin WebSockets. The gateway accepts some non-Control-UI browser client IDs without origin enforcement, exempts loopback password failures from throttling, and silently pairs those clients. Exploitation requires password authentication, a guessable gateway password, loopback reachability, and a user opening malicious web content; success grants control-plane methods available to the operator role.
