Authentication bypass via multiply encoded route paths
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
Authentication bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.3.2 allows remote attackers to access protected /api/channels endpoints. The gateway auth-path classifier decodes fewer encoding layers than plugin routing, so multiply encoded slashes evade the protected-prefix check before resolving to the guarded route. Exploitation requires deployments that expose plugin HTTP routes and rely on gateway authentication for /api/channels protection, yielding unauthenticated access to the targeted endpoint.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
