CVE-2026-31961

Process crash via unvalidated Mach-O size fields

Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026

Resource exhaustion in Anchore Quill before 0.7.1 allows local users to crash the process via a crafted Mach-O binary. LC_CODE_SIGNATURE, SuperBlob, and blob parsing use unvalidated DataSize, DataOffset, Size, Count, and Length values to allocate buffers. Reachability requires Quill to parse an attacker-supplied file; excessive allocation exhausts memory and can crash the host process.
