Media deletion via missing CSRF token validation
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
CSRF in emlog 2.6.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete media files through a crafted cross-site request. The delete_async branch in admin/media.php passes an attacker-selected aid value to deleteMedia without calling LoginAuth::checkToken. Exploitation requires an administrator's authenticated browser to load attacker-controlled content, after which forged requests delete selected media files.
