Authenticated file deletion via unchecked traversal path
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Path traversal in Chamilo LMS before 1.11.38 allows remote authenticated users to delete server files through a crafted test parameter. The savescores.php handler concatenates the test request value with the course document path and passes the result to my_delete without a path-boundary check. Course-context access is required, and deletion is limited to files writable by the web-server account under the constructed user-specific .t.html name.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
