Full system access via unchanged default web credentials
Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in Daktronics DMP-5000, DMP-8000, and VFC-DMP-5000 firmware allow remote attackers to gain full system access. The administrative web account ships with weak default credentials, and initialization and normal operation do not require those credentials to be replaced. Network access to the web interface and unchanged default credentials are sufficient for administrative control of device data and configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <v10.34.x.x
- Affected versionversion=0 <v8.117.x.x
