Arbitrary SQL execution via unescaped dot-notation sub-keys
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
SQL injection in Parse Server before 8.6.31 and 9.0.0 through 9.6.0-alpha.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL. The PostgreSQL adapter interpolates an Increment operation's dot-notation sub-key into an SQL string literal without escaping single quotes. Reachability requires a PostgreSQL deployment and permission to send REST API write requests; successful injection can read or alter database data while bypassing CLPs and ACLs.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
