Authenticated command execution via Git configuration fields
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
OS command injection in Siteboon Cloud CLI before 1.24.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via Git configuration. The /api/user/git-config route embeds gitName and gitEmail in double-quoted strings passed to child_process.exec(), escaping only quotation marks while leaving shell substitutions active. A valid JWT reaches the route, and injected backticks or $() expressions run with the privileges of the Node.js process.
