Database disclosure via uncleansed element search criteria
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
SQL injection in Craft CMS 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.9.8 allows remote authenticated users to read the full database via crafted search criteria. ElementSearchController::actionSearch() configures an element query from request-controlled criteria without first removing unsupported query attributes. Any control panel account, without administrator privileges, can use criteria[where], criteria[orderBy], or other query properties for boolean-based blind extraction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
