Reflected XSS via unchecked SVG animation elements
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Reflected XSS in SiYuan before 3.5.10 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through the unauthenticated dynamic-icon endpoint. SanitizeSVG passes animate and set elements whose runtime attribute changes introduce JavaScript URLs or event handlers after its static checks finish. A victim must open the crafted SVG URL and interact with its rendered content, after which script runs in the SiYuan origin and can read or modify notes through the victim's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
