CVE-2026-31797Public exploit

Memory disclosure or crash via undersized TIFF buffer

Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in iccDEV before 2.3.1.5 allows local users to disclose memory or crash iccApplyProfiles via a crafted TIFF image. CTiffImg::Open allocates m_pStripBuf from a strip size that can be smaller than the calculated rows-per-strip line data, and CTiffImg::ReadLine then copies a full line past that allocation. Exploitation requires user interaction to make the local command-line tool process the file; the demonstrated result is an out-of-bounds read followed by an abort.
