Application crash via unchecked operation count
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in iccDEV before 2.3.1.5 allows local users to crash profile-processing applications via a crafted ICC profile. CIccCalculatorFunc::ApplySequence calculates a sequence end by adding an untrusted operation count before checking for overflow, allowing iteration to reach an invalid pointer. A user or application must process the profile; the resulting segmentation fault terminates the affected process without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
