Kernel disclosure and crash via unchecked route count
Published Apr 25, 2026 · Updated Apr 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Linux Kernel ip6t_rt allows local users to disclose kernel data or crash the system via a malformed rule. rt_mt6_check() accepts an addrnr value above IP6T_RT_HOPS when a rule is installed, so rt_mt6() later indexes beyond rtinfo->addrs[]. Low-privilege local access is required, with no user interaction; the published impact is limited to confidentiality and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
