Authenticated code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Feb 25, 2026 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F453 1.0.0.3 httpd allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted mit_ssid value. The /goform/AdvSetWrlsafeset handler passes the user-controlled value to sprintf without a length check, overflowing its destination stack buffer. Low-privilege access to the web-management endpoint is required; a successful request can crash httpd or execute code on the device.
