Kernel crash via unchecked EFW status index

Out-of-bounds read in Linux kernel ALSA Fireworks before fixed branch releases allows local users to crash the kernel via malformed EFW responses. The response handler uses a 32-bit device-supplied status to index the 17-entry efr_status_names array, then treats the retrieved value as a string without first checking the index. Exploitation requires access to a FireWire audio device capable of returning a crafted status, and the documented consequence is an availability-only kernel interruption.
