Kernel crash via unchecked allocation failure

NULL pointer dereference in Linux Kernel vidtv allows local users to crash the kernel while starting a virtual tuner stream. vidtv_channel_pmt_match_sections fails to check whether vidtv_psi_pmt_stream_init returned NULL after a memory-allocation failure, then passes &tail->descriptor to vidtv_psi_desc_assign and dereferences the null tail pointer. Exploitation requires local access, the nondefault vidtv test driver, and an allocation failure while a virtual tuner feed starts; the bounded impact is a kernel crash.
