CVE-2026-31491

Service interruption via irdma queue-depth overflow

Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026

Integer overflow in the Linux Kernel irdma driver allows local users to interrupt service via oversized SQ, RQ, or SRQ requests. SQ, RQ, and SRQ depth calculations in drivers/infiniband/hw/irdma/uk.c use 32-bit arithmetic that overflows or truncates a U32_MAX size and incorrectly returns success. Low-privilege local access, an affected kernel, and the irdma RDMA path are required; the public record does not distinguish a hang, crash, or reboot.
